Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs started the work of the " knowledge-based economy and its role in National Development " conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the United Nations Development Program at King Faisal Conference hall in Riyadh Intercontinental hotel, was started on April 24, reported CINVU.
The conference focused on three main themes, namely:
1. Human Resources and Education, since it is an essential element of economic competitiveness, it must focus on the development of the human element through developing learning curriculum in public education as well as in higher education, integrating new technologies in addition to developing faculty and quality standards.
2. Research, Innovation and Investment, which will focus on how to localize technology and its benefit, and the nature of the transition process from the scientific research centers to the labor market.
3. Information and Telecommunication Technology: Managing knowledge and promoting performance of businesses, increasing its efficiency and focusing on infrastructure that is based on information technology and telecommunication.
