The Syrian Al-Sham Private University will join the CINVU in line with international educational and research cooperation and implementation of knowledgebase projects with universities of Islamic countries.

According to the Public Relations Report of CINVU, Dr. Mina Kaviani, the CINVU Consultant and Special Representative in a meeting with the Syrian Al-Sham Private University President, which was held to promote bilateral cooperation, referring to the capacities and achievements of this international scientific and academic network and said: Based on the approach of creating synergy and scientific, educational, research and technological empowerment of the Islamic world, the CINVU has been able to organize a large community of more than 150 members by using the strategic capacities of academic and knowledge-based communication.

She stated: The Syrian Al-Sham Private University can benefit from CINVU's capabilities especially its executive and communication capacities to exchange knowledge and technology in connection with Universities, Higher Education Institutions, Educational Institutes, Skilled and Applied Training Institutions, Research Institutes, Think Tanks, Knowledge-Based and Technological Companies, Organizations and the Governments of the Islamic world.

Dr. Sharif al-Ashkar, the Syrian Al-Sham Private University President, in this event, expressed his readiness for scientific, educational, research, and technological cooperation with the CINVU and said: The Al-Sham Private University is one of the higher education institutions under the supervision of the Syrian Arab Republic Ministry of Higher Education, which has faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, technical and engineering, agriculture, arts and humanities, law, international relations and diplomacy, education and training, administrative sciences, and tourism and preparations have been made for the establishment of new faculties, including the faculties of fine arts, nursing, health sciences, information, etc.

He also stated that the Al-Sham Private University is the largest non-governmental university in Syria with more than 9,000 students and expressed: The fundamental approach of this university is to support scientific innovations, invest in the expansion of knowledge and technology and leading researches and expand cooperation with international universities in order to help the development of society.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.
