In line with the cooperation related to the expansion and growing Media and Information Literacy, a Memorandum of Agreement was concluded between the CINVU and the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance.

According to the Public Relations Report of CINVU, The organization of educational and research, scientific and cultural events and collaborations to expand the level of media and information literacy of academics and citizens is one of the propositions accepted in this memorandum which has been signed by Dr. Ali Karimi Morid the Strategic and Executive Deputy and Head of the Permanent Secretariat of the CINVU and Dr. Alireza Bastani, the Representative of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance in the Asia and Pacific Region.

The fundamental approach of this memorandum is based on educational awareness and dissemination of culture in order to establish an atmosphere of academic dialogue about media and information literacy. Based on these collaborations, the training of media literacy teachers and the holding of webinars, seminars, educational workshops, festivals and cultural and educational events will be implemented.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.
