Conclusion of MoU on Cultural and Tourism Cooperation in the Islamic World

With the aim of developing cultural relations between Iran and Islamic countries, a joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran and CINVU was concluded.

According to the Public Relations Report of CINVU, In line with the development of cultural communication and the introduction of the rich tourism capacities of the Islamic world, especially the historical, natural, cultural and religious attractions, the MOU on international tourism and cultural cooperation was signed by Saeed Ohadi, Deputy Director of Management and Resources Development of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Iran and Dr. Karim Najafi Barzegar, Secretary General of CINVU.

According to this memorandum, scientific marketing and branding of tourism in order to deepen cultural connections with the population of more than 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and economic empowerment of Islamic countries and providing suitable services and facilities based on creative tourism approach, it will be the basis of joint international cooperation.

In this event, the first tourism exhibition of the Islamic world is also held in order to make the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation aware of the capacities and possibilities of tourism, providing virtual training and creating technological infrastructure related to cultural heritage and handicrafts, participation in the launch of tourism electronic magazine in international languages ​​and the holding of events and working committees was agreed.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.

With the aim of developing cultural relations between Iran and Islamic countries, a joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the CINVU was concluded.
