Extension of the Term of the CINVU Secretary-General and Executive Committee Members

The Secretary-General and the Executive Committee members of the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) have been extended for another four years in their positions during the Fourth General Assembly of CINVU.

According to the CINVU Public Relations Report, based on the official minutes and approvals of the Fourth General Assembly of CINVU and the anticipated approach in the statute and regulations of the Executive Committee, Dr. Karim Najafi Barzegar will serve as the Secretary-General of CINVU for the years 2025 to 2029.

Additionally, Allama Iqbal Open University from Pakistan, Anadolu University from Türkiye, Virtual University of Gabon, Islamic University of Najaf from Iraq, Asia e University from Malaysia, Payame Noor University from Iran, Terbuka University from Indonesia, along with the CINVU Secretary-General and the COMSTECH Coordinator-General, will be members of the CINVU Executive Committee for the years 2025 to 2029. Furthermore, Smart University of Medical Sciences from Iran, Bangladesh Open University, AJA University of Command and Staff from Iran, Kuwait University, Islamic University in Uganda, and Virtual University of Pakistan will serve as observer members of the Executive Committee.

Therefore, with the extension of the responsibilities of the Executive Committee members, the CINVU Secretary-General will also remain in his position for another four years.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.

The Secretary-General and the Executive Committee members of the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) have been extended for another four years in their positions during the Fourth General Assembly of CINVU.
