Meeting of the Secretary General of CINVU with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran

The Secretary General of CINVU and the delegation, accompanied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

According to the Public Relations Report of CINVU, in this meeting, Dr. Najafi Barzegar, Secretary General of CINVU, while introducing CINVU and presenting a report on important activities and pointed to its important and effective capacities in the elite society in order to achieve scientific diplomacy and smart technology in the Islamic world and effective and synergistic relations between Islamic countries.

He appreciated the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Center for Scientific and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran in facilitating the communication process, holding the General Assembly of CINVU and activating capacities.

Following the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, while appreciating the measures taken and the capacities created by CINVU, activation of the existing opportunities in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation with the expansion of related centers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is necessary and announced the support of the actions of CINVU as one of the priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the host of this international organization for the development of higher education and intelligent technologies in the Islamic world.

The Iranian Foreign Minister further considered the influence of CINVU in other communications and interactions between Islamic countries very important and considered the Mustafa International Prize as an example of these influences.

At the end of the event, it was decided that the deputies of CINVU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran will take the necessary measures to take advantage of each other's capacities.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.
