- 2025/01/08
CINVU and Oman have embarked on new steps to achieve their vision of bilateral cooperation, which will result in innovations in education and research and the transfer of knowledge and technology. This approach stems from the outcomes of the working meeting between Dr. Ali Karimi Morid, Executive Strategic Deputy and Head of the Permanent Secretariat of CINVU, and Mr. Ahmed bin Khamis Al-Qatiti, Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of Oman.
According to the CINVU Public Relations Report, Oman's utilization of the educational and knowledge-based capabilities of CINVU's Energy Department, particularly the transfer of energy industry technologies and the dynamism of this country's universities in the 4th General Assembly of CINVU, is part of the planned programs in this process.
The Executive Strategic Deputy of CINVU announced that the collaborations will focus on the active role of Oman's universities in the CINVU Plus SuperApp (the first academic super-application in the Islamic world) and the establishment of the International Smart University of CINVU (Super University).
The bilateral cooperation program between CINVU and Oman is the result of the meeting between the Secretary General of CINVU and the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of Oman. This meeting took place in October 2023 within the framework of the visit of senior CINVU officials at the official invitation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of Oman.
Under the policies of Oman's Vision 2040 document, the country possesses significant capabilities to achieve the status of a regional hub. This policy framework encompasses a range of knowledge-based economy programs that require education and technology transfer.
