The President of Payame Noor University of Iran attended the third General Assembly of CINVU, which was hosted by Allameh Iqbal University of Pakistan in Islamabad, in order to attract and exchange students, professors and provide knowledge, technology and knowledge-based products, announced his readiness.
According to the Public Relations Report of CINVU, Dr. Ebrahim Taghizadeh, President of Payame Noor University of Iran, during his speech at this international event, referring to the vast capacities of this university in the field of providing virtual education, announced: Payame Noor University, as an active member of the Executive Committee of CINVU and the first large open university in the Islamic Republic of Iran, has important capacities in the field of providing virtual education and with a technological approach in the development of smart education has hosted two previous assemblies and the first executive committee of this network to take the first steps towards the cooperation of virtual universities in Islamic countries with power.
He went on to say that the extensive infrastructure of Payame Noor University is ready to accept virtual students from the Islamic world, adding: Exchange of students and professors can provide knowledge and technology to different universities with the lowest cost and maximum productivity by holding joint courses, applied research, exporting products, etc., because the Islamic Republic of Iran is an international hub and an important hub of scientific cooperation with the world and has a significant growth in the field of science and technology that can be an influential axis in the world, especially the Islamic world.
Dr. Taghizadeh expressed his readiness to strengthen cooperation with universities in the Islamic world, emphasizing: This event has important instructions, including the selection of members of the Executive Committee by 2024, review and approval of the 2022 budget and also an important event, ie the review and approval of the comprehensive regulations for cooperation between members, which according to the expertise, with the approval of this bylaw, which is in accordance with the bylaws and bylaws of the executive committee, we will enter the phase of intelligent cooperation with the members.
He continued: Payame Noor University of Iran has taken important and strategic steps from the beginning by hosting and supporting CINVU and without a doubt, with the approval of the comprehensive regulation of cooperation between members, the executive steps of cooperation with other universities will be strengthened and we ask all members to help attract and exchange students, knowledge, technology, professors and university products, and strategic communication between members by approving and fully implementing this regulation to be a good model for academic cooperation in the Islamic world.
At the end of his speech, the President of Payame Noor University of Iran reiterated his support for the actions of Dr. Najafi Barzegar, Secretary General of CINVU: CINVU has an independent identity, and this approach has led to a growing leap forward in the organization and the strengthening of academic cooperation in the Islamic world therefore, this independence must be maintained in order to pursue the development of scientific and academic activities in the Islamic world, given the network's knowledge of its structure and capacities.
The third General Assembly of CINVU is being held in the presence of the heads and senior representatives of universities of 57 Islamic countries, hosted by Allameh Iqbal University of Pakistan in Islamabad.
CINVU is one of the Networks affiliated to "COMSTECH", the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation that hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
