In line with expanding international educational, research, and knowledge-based collaborations, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences has joined the large international academic network of CINVU by officially accepting its membership document.

According to the CINVU Public Relations Report, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, with the support of eight decades of educational and therapeutic activities, leveraging renowned physicians and faculty members, skilled human resources, and extensive educational, research, therapeutic, and laboratory infrastructures, is considered one of the prominent medical centers in southern Iran, the Persian Gulf, and the vast region of West Asia.

Achieving international records in organ transplants, leading basic and clinical educational groups such as internal medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, and other distinguished clinical specialties, excelling in various fields like cochlear implant surgeries, performing challenging operations such as the separation of conjoined twins, conducting cancer surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, advanced treatments, and complex neurosurgical, cardiac, and ophthalmic surgeries are just a glimpse of the renown of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.

Notably, the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) is an international educational, research, knowledge-based, and technology network affiliated with the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), which is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With the idea of creating educational equity, CINVU is a base for expanding universal public education based on smart and online technology that by networking of capacities, uses the power of education, research, innovation, and technology, in line with the approach of helping to empower and advance the countries of the Islamic world.
