Secretary‑General of CINVU Condemns Acts of Aggression and Calls for Expansion of Scientific and Technological Cooperation for Peace.

According to the Public Relations Office, The Secretary‑General of the COMSTECH Inter - Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) has strongly condemned the recent acts of aggression and emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific and technological cooperation as a pathway toward peace and stability.

Dr. Seyed Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, Secretary‑General of CINVU, while condemning the American‑Zionist acts of aggression against the host country of this international network affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), highlighted the consensus among academics and the scholarly community on the necessity of halting these aggressions and promoting peace.

In his statement, Dr. Aghamiri noted that CINVU, as an independent and non‑political international scientific and academic organization composed of higher education institutions across the Islamic world, with its Permanent Secretariat headquartered in the Islamic Republic of Iran, expresses deep concern and profound regret over the hostile and interventionist actions and blatant crimes committed by the United States of America and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Iranian nation, its leadership, and various military and civilian institutions.

He emphasized that such actions are in clear contradiction with the fundamental principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and universally recognized humanitarian and ethical norms. These actions not only endanger regional security and stability but also constitute a clear violation of national sovereignty, a threat to international peace, and a disregard for the rights of nations.

Dr. Aghamiri further stressed that the continuation of such conduct reflects a dangerous approach toward independent nations and contributes to instability in the West Asia region and the broader Islamic world.

Expressing solidarity with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, CINVU called upon scientific, academic, and cultural institutions throughout the Islamic world to adopt a responsible and informed stance. The network urged these institutions not to remain silent in the face of unlawful and inhumane actions and to uphold the principles of justice, peace, and respect for the sovereignty of states.

The statement also called upon international organizations, human rights institutions, and global scientific forums to act responsibly by examining these actions and taking effective measures to prevent their recurrence.

Dr. Aghamiri underscored that the scientific community of the Islamic world has consistently emphasized dialogue, mutual respect among nations, and the peaceful resolution of disputes, while rejecting all forms of violence and aggression.
