In 1977, a committee of the board of directors of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges created the “Task Force on the Uses of Mass Media for Learning." In 1993, the Instructional Technology Council (ITC) became its own separate 501(c)(3) organization.
AACC is the national voice for community colleges in the United States and Canada. It provides institutional support in the areas of professional development, legislative advocacy, networking, publications, grant development, and telecommunications for its members.
